About Me

I'm Gemma Barsby, professional photographer, and proud mum to three little crazies. I've always loved taking photos of special moments and memories, starting with my friends and family. Then in 2009 I started doing wedding photography, alongside my full time aerospace engineering career. However, when I became a mum in 2012 I couldn't take enough photos of all their little details, smiles and adventures. It was then I realised I wanted to share this gift with others and made the move into newborn and family photography, and to lay the foundation to be able to do photography full time.

In 2018, I left my engineering role, and committed to running my photography business full time. I have completed newborn safety training, newborn and family photography training, along with studio lighting and techniques, and I will never stop investing in myself, learning and growing in order to provide my clients with top quality images and service. I love being able to capture the emotion between people in my photography, and I call upon my great eye for detail and artistic background to produce amazing images you will treasure for ever. My job isn't just about taking photos, but also about finding great light, fantastic locations in nature, or bringing those details into the studio to create truly memorable images.

My main goal is to make sure you come away from your session feeling relaxed and happy, and having had the best photography session possible.
It's not just about the photographs with me, the client experience is just as important! So let's have fun and make something beautiful!
